8. 國籍證明文件或護照影本。One photocopy of verification of citizenship or a photo-copy of passport.

Important Notice

A. 上述2、3、8、9項等四項文件需要經我國外館認證。

Note: The documents number 2,3,8 and 9 will have to be verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office in the country of his/her original school. (One notarized copy of a translation in English is necessary) 

B. 如在申請截止日期前無法完成驗證手續，請繳交「文件驗證切結書」，若經錄取，須於報到時繳交經我國驗外館處、行政院設立或指定之機構或委託之民間團體驗證之 畢業證書及成績單正本。未能如期繳交者，將取消其錄取資格。

If the verification process cannot be completed before the application deadline, a signed Affidavit (Deposition of Admissions Documents to be Verified) must be submitted with the application. At the time of registration, students must provide the original academic degree and transcript verified by a Taiwan overseas representative office.

C. 錄取生於註冊時應檢附已於國外投保自入境當日起至少六個月效期之醫療及傷害保險，應經我國駐外館處驗證。

At the time of registration, the admitted students have to have the proof of medical and personal health coverage insured outside R.O.C. with validity for at least six months from the date they enter R.O.C. The proof of overseas cover insured outside ROC should be verified by R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office.

Financial Aids

 

• Taiwan Scholarship , Ministry of Education (MOE)

1. Applicants must be a foreign national with a post-secondary degree(s), and an excellent academic record, and be of good moral character.
2. Applicants must apply directly to the university/college for admission within the application deadline. 
3. The MOE will pay up to NTD 40,000 each semester for each recipient’s approved tuition and miscellaneous expenses.
4. The MOE provides each recipient undertaking a master’s degree or doctorate studies a monthly stipend of NTD20,000.

• Financial Aids offered by National Taitung University (NTTU)

1. 具外國籍身分並具有本校正式學籍之學生（不含僑生、在職生及同時持 有中華民國國籍之學生)
   All international students officially admitted by NTTU. This Scholarship is not available to officially recognized Overseas Chinese students, on-job students, and the students who have dual or multiple citizenships in which one is of R.O. C. Taiwan.
2. 已經獲補助臺灣獎學金者，不得申請臺東大學各項獎學金。
   Students already received Taiwan Scholarship are not eligible to NTTU financial aids.

 

	Scholarship	Instruction
1	外國學生生活助學金 International Student Living Allowance Scholarship	在學期間每月5千元，博士生核發上限四年。 NTD 5,000 per month for the duration of study. Graduate students who study for doctoral degree may receive the Scholarship for the maximum of four(4) years.
2	外國學生新生獎助學金 Scholarships for Newly-Admitted International Students	具華語文能力測驗 (TOCFL)B1 進階級(或以上)語言能力，入學當學年免全額學雜費 Students with Chinese language proficiency TOCFL B1 (or above) receive full tuition and miscellaneous fee waivers for the academic year of the admission.

外國學生成績優良獎助學金 International Student Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance

1.前一學年學業成績平均達班上前百分之二十者：次學年免全額學雜費 2.前一學年學業成績平均達班上前百分之五十者：次學年免二分之一學雜費。 1. Student’s average grades of the previous academic year reach top 20%:Full tuition and miscellaneous fee waivers. 2. Student’s average grades of the previous academic year reach top 50%:Half tuition and miscellaneous fee waivers

3. 華語課程為非強制性自費修讀課程，每堂課學費為新臺幣 200~500元。實際收費依本校華語教學研究中心公告為準。
   Mandarin Learning Tuition. The Mandarin Course is a optional choice, and the tuition is at one’s own expense. The tuition for each class is NTD200-500, the precise amount is subject to the announcement of the Chinese Teaching and Study Center.

• Covid-19 Pandemic Quarantine Mandate (subjected to change) 

1. Upon arrival, testing and/or immunity verification at the International Airport; taking a specialized taxi directly to Taitung City and checking into a quarantine hotel.
2. 17 days in quarantine hotel. The days of quarantine are subjected to change.
3. Before end-of-quarantine specialized taxi to hospital for PCR test.
4. If tested for negative PCR, end-of-quarantine and return to university campus.
